BMC (DMC) material is an abbreviation for Bulk (Dough) molding compounds, also known as bulk molding compounds. It is commonly referred to as unsaturated polyester bulk molding compound in China. Its main raw materials are GF (short cut glass fiber), UP (unsaturated resin), MD (filler calcium carbonate), and various additives that are fully mixed to form a pre impregnated material in the form of a cluster. It can be molded by compression molding or injection molding. BMC materials were first applied in West Germany and the United Kingdom in the 1960s, and then developed significantly in the United States and Japan in the 1970s and 1980s, respectively. Due to its excellent electrical and mechanical properties, heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and adaptability to various molding processes, BMC bulk molding materials are widely used in various industries such as power, electrical appliances, aerospace, and automobiles to meet the performance requirements of various products.
